    Through our Environmental Management System (EMS), certified under the ISO 14001:2015 standard, we identify, assess and manage the environmental effects of our operations. We implement prevention and mitigation actions aimed at protecting ecosystems and ensuring the responsible and sustainable use of water resources.

    We operate in areas of great natural wealth, so our actions are aimed at mitigating effects and generating positive results through sustainable practices. Through our ISO 14001:2015-certified EMS, we promote restoration and revegetation programs, wildlife receiving areas and encourage ecological connectivity.

    To move towards a lower-emission future in the face of the global challenge of climate change, at Drummond Ltd. we have adopted a long-term vision with strategies and actions based on implementing innovative technologies and solutions to reduce and offset emissions that will lead us to achieve carbon neutrality in our operations by 2050.

    In 2024, we carried out a consulting project to define and estimate base year emissions, establishing 2021 as the benchmark year, in accordance with the guidelines from ISO 14064-1:2018.

    We are committed to the sustainable management of our mining and port operations. We recognize the importance of controlling emissions of particulate matter and, for this reason, we implemented the Air Quality Management and Environmental Monitoring Program, complying with requirements from the ANLA and CAR.

    Our commitment goes beyond regulatory compliance: we prioritize the health of our employees and communities and promote innovation and continuous improvement.

    Guided by the EMS, we implement continuous improvement processes aimed at protecting and conserving ecosystem services.

    In terms of waste management, we promote a circular economy strategy that encourages reuse and reduction through good waste sorting and classification practices at the source and managing any impacts with comprehensive waste management programs and bioremediation processes.
